About Us

Caretech Services began some 20 years ago, providing innovative procedural packaging solutions for harm reduction in Australia.

Headquartered in Western Australia, we are now working with stakeholders around the world to digitise healthcare packaging, with the goal of saving lives and improving health across communities, nations and the world.

Our Vision

To save lives through the application of Industry 4.0 to the Healthcare and Veterinary sectors globally.

Our Mission

We work in conjunction with our technology partners, saving lives through capturing the data necessary for medication provenance, regulation, production and healthcare planning at point of service provision using intelligent procedural packaging.

We do this by working proactively with Pharmaceutical and MedTech Manufacturers, Medication Regulators and Public Health Custodians, reflecting the changing needs of Patients, Healthcare Workers Organisations and Custodians, and Epidemiologists.

Our Core Values

Leadership Team

David Wearne
Executive Chairman

Chairman, Entrepreneur, Innovator and Inventor.

David considers himself a generalist. He completed his schooling as a cadet officer in the merchant marine, and as the result of his association with his family and their technology businesses.

Later he founded an import/export company and has been involved with many and varied business and social enterprises.

It was his love of yacht racing that lead to a chance encounter in Sydney in the 1990’s, and a subsequent role as a ‘trouble-shooter’ to investigate into matters pertaining to the Australian ‘safe syringe program’.

Over time, David became a Harm Reduction specialist. He then went on to develop the first commercial implementation of a Harm Reduction Program with the founding of Caretech.

David is the inventor of the SIP System™. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist and producer, David is a father of two children and an award-winning yachtsman.

“I believe we can harness the power and momentum of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to help merge the MedTech and Pharma Industries for the benefit of humanity.”
